Dos Molinas located near the Fort Worth Stockyards- one block off the main road @ 404 NW 25th St was where we picked our next Mexican food spot. We arrived about 10:40 and had about a 15 minute wait. It was a bustling crowd. The place was full and loud, it felt like neighborhood gathering spot, but parking was at a premium. We can get breakfast all day, but after 10:30 you pay $1.00 more. We chose lunch. They served traditional chips and salsa. The salsa was great. I had "lite special" one chicken enchilada one cheese enchilada. It had lots of chicken and very flavorful. Randy had the chili relleno, while it was tasty, he said that next time he will likely order something different. The outside of the chili relleno was not "fried" but baked. He prefers his chili relleno fried! Other interesting options were the Chicken mole, which I will order next time. Portions sizes were large, but we managed to eat most of it. We will add this spot to return category. Thanks Sara G for the recommendation.
$12.00When I retired on July 2, 2021 one of the things on our bucket list was to try to Mexican restaurants in Fort Worth that were "off the beaten" path. Our favorite "off the beaten" path was Caro's off off Blue Bonnet Circle, which closed back in 2011. Our first place to try visit was El Torito authentic Mexican food. They don't serve the usual basket of chips but three tostadas as a pre meal snack. They served it on authentic plates and had great customer service. They have a side bar of fresh sauces, red and green. We both had chili relleno and it was very tasty. We will put it on the return list. We would love to hear your suggestion on restaurant to try! 7/16/2021
