Habanero Mexican Cuisine
The place was clean and the service friendly. Two things that stood out, the first was that they don't serve tap water! You can buy bottle water ,soda or tea. The thing was they use paper straws. I ordered the Chicken chili relleno for two reasons, I like chili relleno and because it came with tortilla soup. The portions were very generous. Randy liked the beef enchiladas but would have liked more cheese. While the food was good, it was not memorable enough to make a return trip.

Lucita's Mexican Cocina
We found a gem today. Lucita's Mexican Cocina at 3912 E. 1st street- East of Downtown Fort Worth. Very Authentic Mexican food. Started off with the typical chips and hot sauce (cold). The hot sauce was made with tomatoes, cilantro , serrano peppers and a little jalapeno peppers. It had really good favor. The place was very clean and well keep, the service was excellent Prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. Randy had chili relleno and really liked it, totally cleaned this plate! I had chicken sour cream enchiladas and they really were the best that I think that I have every had. They were stuffed full of chicken and sauce had a rich flavor. We really enjoyed the food here and plan on returning to the hidden gem.

Toque Mexicano
We went to a new place today,(8/21/21) Toque Mexicano, one that we have passed many times and never really noticed before. It is tucked away in a strip center off of Camp Bowie (5822). Near Mama's Pizza. Which is why we probably have never seen it, we are always focused on Mama's! Chips (warm) and salsa (cold) were served. We ordered queso amarillo for an appetizer and beef and chicken enchiladas for our entrees. Much of the menu was in Spanish. The enchiladas were made with fresh ingredients and were tasty. The queso ended up being more of a dessert, since it arrived after the meal, but it was really good queso. The service was lacking today. They were generous and comped the queso without us asking. The clientele that were there were mostly men who looked like local contractors. Most local contractors know good places to eat! We will put them on the return list if we are in neighborhood and not going to Mama's Pizza.
